Xavier Oriach, tribute

Painting exhibition.

On blue and black material backgrounds, Xavier Oriach resonated echoes of archaic voices; exotic-looking marks that he felt close to, calls from remote cultures that he incorporated into his world of European and contemporary references, in search of common roots. His latest works bring back historical and mythical characters from the centuries, a playful hummingbird with a hat and, most surprisingly, three mummies with sad and disturbing expressions that contrast with the vital and spiritual harmony to which the author often referred us. A whole universe that delves into both personal mythologies and the collective unconscious.
