JOAN VILA GRAU. GRAPHIC WORKS
At the Academy of Fine Arts of Sabadell.

The Academy of Fine Arts, where you can see some of his graphic works made about sixty years ago. Although throughout his artistic career Joan Vila Grau made numerous designs or graphic works, it was in the late fifties, during the sixties, and the seventies that his production in the field of graphic design was especially intense: brands, book covers, magazine covers, pagination and interior designs for books and magazines, leaflets, triptychs and/or catalogues for exhibitions and posters.

He worked with the linocut technique and also with encaustic and gouache or watercolors. The use of these techniques gave the images, whether drawings or graphics, qualities full of nuances.

All of this helped Joan Vila Grau to create his own, original and easily identifiable aesthetic.
