A concert to discover the musical soul of the continent in’Sabadell Academy of Arts

The next one June 13 at 7:30 p.m., the’academy of the arts of Sabadell opens the doors to a very special musical and historical experience. It is about The Lied, a history of Europe, a conference-concert starring the pianist from Sabadell Joan Manau and the soprano Sara Bañeras, which invites us to take a sound journey through this musical genre so deeply rooted in European culture.

Through the live performance of various Lieder and a contextual explanation of its origin and evolution, attendees will be able to better understand how this genre has reflected the social, aesthetic and spiritual changes in Europe. A concert with local talent and international projection

Joan Manau, pianist and lecturer, has a long teaching and artistic career, standing out for his specialization in Lied and for his work as a teacher at the Terrassa Conservatory and the Sabadell Opera Choir. At his side, the young and renowned soprano Sara Bañeras will give voice to a select repertoire that includes works by great composers of the genre, keeping the musical tradition of Lied alive.
