the mute language of the forest
Exhibition organized in collaboration with the Association of Plastic and Visual Artists of Sabadell
Price: Free entry
“the silent language of the forest” unfolds as a space of listening and suspicion, where the artistic gesture is linked to what remains silent. More than an exhibition, it is an exercise, a way of thinking from presence and from a hope that is built on the margins of what is visible, of what is communicable.
Here, presence is not a spectacle or an affirmation, but a way of remaining, of letting oneself be affected by the other, by time, by fragility. A presence that does not demand a response, but attention. A presence that listens. And in this listening, a latent hope filters through.
The practices of Kati Riquelme and Júlia R-Arias H work from this attention to the infraordinary, to minor gestures, to materials that are silent but do not disappear. In their work, what is silent is not inactive, and what is not seen does not cease to take place.
Curated by Yun Vidal Coll, the exhibition is articulated as a space of suspension, of indeterminacy, where time does not accumulate but slowly fades away. A proposal that invites us to be without demanding, to feel without haste, to believe in forms of existence that do not need to be justified.
