Imaginary Work

Joan Coch is a Catalan artist whose practice is based on watercolor, although he initially worked with oil painting. His work investigates the limits of the pictorial medium through watercolour, process and technique. He explores the relationship between control and accident, as well as the tension between work and process. His work highlights material traces and transformations as an essential part of artistic creation, while searching for a mental and personal imaginary.
