Emptiness not as an absence, but as an active space of transit and creation.
The void starts from the liminal condition of the exhibition space as a place of passage between worlds, where horror vacui, the passage of time and repetition transform nothingness into a dense field of presences. The body, reduced to silhouette and multiplied, constructs and inhabits this void, while the visitor's movement is integrated into the same transit system.

The exhibition brings together work by Mariia Shapovalova and Teresa Pampalona, two artists who, despite working with different languages and materials, share an approach to the body as a symbolic form and to repetition as a formal strategy.

🔹 Teresa Pampalona develops a practice focused on the painting and representation of the human body —especially the female body—, building a cumulative presence that relates body, surface and repetition.
🔹 Mariia Shapovalova, trained in Fine Arts in Moscow and coming from the field of illustration, builds her work from serial arrangements of images, shifting attention from the individual piece to the whole.

The symbolism of flowers, and especially of the asphodel as an emblem of an intermediate space between life and death, reinforces this idea of border and transition, turning the void into a territory full of meaning.
