Benet Casablancas, composer, graduate in Philosophy and doctor in Musicology, is recognized as one of the most relevant European composers of his generation. He has been composer-in-residence at L'Auditori in Barcelona, Bremen and Madrid, and is the author of the books Humor in music i Landscapes of musical romanticism. His works have been performed throughout Europe, the United States, Japan and Latin America, by the most prestigious orchestras in the most emblematic concert halls.

Throughout his career, he has been awarded the City of Barcelona Prize (1992), the National Culture Prize of the Generalitat de Catalunya (2007) and the National Music Prize of the Ministry of Culture (2013). He has served as pedagogical director of the JONC, the Liceu Conservatory and as a professor at the Pompeu Fabra University. In 2019 he successfully premiered his opera Lea's enigma at the Gran Teatre del Liceu.

Gilda Oswaldo Cruz, pianist, was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He graduated from the School of Music of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, and later continued his studies at the Higher School of Music in Vienna, Austria, where he won first prize at the Elena Rombro-Stepanow International Competition. Since 1987, he resumed his musical career in Barcelona, focusing especially on the repertoire of the 20th and 21st centuries.

He has taught courses in musical interpretation at the University of Campinas (São Paulo) and at the Karlsruhe School of Music (Germany). He has recorded two CDs with unpublished works by Claudio Santoro. Recently, he has given recitals in Rome, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and the United Kingdom. He currently lives in Lisbon.
